Spare Snare is a Scottish band. Read more about them here.
The road to this split 7″ project began around 1994, when Number One Cup’s Seth Cohen reviewed a Spare Snare release for his Pop Stock ‘zine. When Number One Cup played in Glasgow, Scotland, in 1996, a few members of Spare Snare joined NOC onstage to cover a couple of Spare Snare songs.
Later, during a break in that same tour, Cohen spent a few days at Jan Burnett’s house in Dundee, Scotland. The two of them recorded a song as the “Seat Back Tidies.” That visit was also notable for the night when, at a pub, they won the jackpot on a sports trivia machine when Seth was able to answer the final question about the Kansas City Chiefs’ home stadium.
Seth and Jan are still friends on Facebook. The End.
